Begin with the purpose
Write down what the property needs to do for you. A home, a long-term rental and a refurbishment project each call for different research. Separate essentials from preferences before comparing opportunities.
Make your criteria specific
Choose the towns or regions you can realistically research. Add a property type and a price range, then note any tenure preference. Keep a separate list of questions that filters cannot answer, such as condition, access, occupancy and your intended use.
Use distinct briefs for distinct goals. A commercial investment search and a residential renovation search are easier to review separately than as one broad request.
Save, review and refine
Approved PropertyAuction members can save up to five briefs in their browser, reload them and remove any that are no longer useful. Saved preferences stay on that device and browser; they are not a cloud-synchronised watchlist.
You can also submit your brief to the team and request news about future alerts. Saving a brief does not search a live catalogue or activate automated matching.
